The story of Styer Hospitality Co. began in 2012 when Jon and Sara Styer first crossed paths at Figlio, a popular local restaurant. Jon was the kitchen manager, while Sara was a culinary apprentice, balancing her time between working in the restaurant and her hospitality education. Their mutual dedication to service and hospitality sparked a connection that would eventually lead to both a personal and professional partnership.

In 2015, Jon and Sara tied the knot! Sara decided to expand her horizons and matriculated to Ohio State to pursue a Master’s in Health Administration. During this time, Jon continued his journey in the restaurant industry, honing his management skills.

However, in 2018, Jon discovered a new passion: real estate. He earned his real estate license and began managing long-term rentals while helping investors buy properties in the bustling market of Columbus.

While Jon was diving into real estate, Sara was making strides in her career as a data analyst. After completing her studies, she joined Nationwide Children's Hospital, bringing her analytical prowess to the healthcare sector. Despite their busy careers, Jon and Sara never lost sight of their dream to build something of their own.

In 2021, the couple welcomed their first daughter into the world. This joyous event also marked a significant turning point in their lives. Jon and Sara decided it was time to start their own hospitality business. Jon transitioned away from long-term property management to focus exclusively on working with investor clients, while Sara brought her organizational and analytical skills to the new venture.

By 2022, Styer Real Estate Professionals was born, with Styer Hospitality Co. as its subsidiary. They completed their new home, which featured a short-term rental in the walk-out lower level, kickstarting their business. The venture quickly gained traction, with multiple properties added to their portfolio every month.

In 2023, their family grew once again with the birth of their second daughter. As their family grew, so did the business. Jon focused on property acquisitions for investor clients and operated Styer Real Estate Professionals, while Sara managed the day-to-day operations of Styer Hospitality Co. Together, they combined their unique skills and experiences to provide exceptional service to property owners and guests alike.

Today, Styer Hospitality Co. has grown into a thriving business, managing a diverse portfolio of properties across Central Ohio. With a commitment to excellence, Jon and Sara have expanded their team, bringing on talented professionals who share their passion for real estate and hospitality.
